One only juggles between two different dreams.

About six months ago, my friend Wing Commander Ahlawat requested me to spare some time and impart spiritual teachings to his and his colleagues's children.

So for the last five months I have imparting teachings, trying to resolve the spiritual queries of the adolescents and adults at the official accommodation of Ahlawat, on every fourth Saturday.

Last Saturday while discussing  Mimansa Philosophy of Rishi Jamini with the gathering, I found Gagan - a beautiful lady in her forties - feeling sleepy.

"If you are not feeling well, you may leave." I asked Gagan.

"I'm sorry Sir. Actually last night I had a terrible nightmare. I couldn't sleep peacefully the whole night."

"Oh! Please tell me something about your nightmare?" I asked playfully.

"I dreamt that my son and husband were going somewhere, biding me goodbye. When I requested them to take me along, they kicked me, threw me from the balcony. They then went away laughingly, leaving me crying." said Gagan, looking somewhat disturbed.

"But how do you found that it was only a "frightening dream", not a "reality". I asked.

"You must be teasing Sir. Everyone knows that one becomes aware of a dream only when one wakes and opens one's eyes."

"No, I'm not teasing you Gagan. So after opening your eyes you found the "real world" around you." I asked.

Precisely! said Gagan, somewhat taken aback by my question.

"You are again mistaken Gagan. There is no such thing as "real world". One only juggles between two different dreams." I said smilingly.

"I don't understand Sir. Kindly elucidate." Gagan implored.

"You see, when one opens one's eyes, one sees a different world that appears to be "real". But when one dies or closes one's eyes, this seemingly real world disappears. One's wealth, family all vanishes in thin air. One then starts afresh, takes birth again in an altogether different family, marries, bears children, dies again. This cycle continues forever till one attains liberation or "moksh".
