Science Can't Explain Everything

With regard to my last post, an acquaintance of mine said," Microorganisms are present in the whole atmosphere as well as in the sealed jar. With the mating of these microorganisms, new life takes place in the jar. God has no role to play in this, this is purely science". I appreciate if some reader raises doubts about my posts. You see, exchange of ideas leads to enlargement of knowledge, enlightenment. Although I don't have much knowledge about biological science, I try to understand Mother Nature and it's inscrutable workings through my observations, meditation and introspection. I have concluded that science has it's share of shortcomings, incapable of explaining all the things. I sincerely believe that spirituality begins where science ends, that's why I am pretty confident about the veracity of my writings. Well, to understand the concept of microorganisms and to seek the expert opinion, I went to the house of Brigadier(Dr.) S.S. Kooner, a retir

New Life Sprouts Only When He Wills!

"Are parents alone instrumental in giving birth to an offspring?". Medical Sciences claim that for a new being to come into existence, there has to be a mating between male and female, an effective fertilization between the sperm and egg has to take place. My view point, however, is that these claims by the medical fraternity are partially baseless, do not show the other side of the coin. With the following two observations of mine, I intend to puncture the inflated egos of some people who proclaim themselves as "proud parents". (1) All the living beings, including humans, are largely hollow. Just observe your throat, lungs, nostrils - they are all empty. Our bones, eye sockets are largely hollow. Can anything come out of void ? No. If you believe otherwise, I am sorry to say that you are a hollow head.  (2) Parturition in this world normally takes place in three ways: (a) From the womb as in case of mammals like human beings. (b) From the eggs as in ca

My Town - Chandigarh

With it's lush green environs, Chandigarh was once a small, alluring town. The general populace being old-fashioned, public interaction between the opposite sexes was a taboo. The magnificent, dense bamboo grove in the leisure valley provided immense relief during the scorching summer months. Often we chatted, slept soundly among the tall, fragrant bamboos during the hot afternoons. For some of my classmates, romance meant onesided affair, limited to catching a glimpse of their "beloveds". As D.A.V. College was then an all boys college, they lingered on for hours at the bus stop opposite General Hospital Sector 16, to have a heavenly sight of their "darlings". When the "sweetheart" of one of my friends impishly smiled at him, he swooned, remained in the dwam, for the next couple of days! Much has changed now. Today's Chandigarh has lost much of it's civility. The innocence, traditionalism of the past has been replaced with openness, vulga

Even our bodies are not our own!

"Your suggestion to leave worldly possessions, desires is impractical. It's simply not possible" says an acquaintance of mine, with regard to my last. Well, let me tell you that all my posts have been imbued with my life experiences. These have been well researched, written by me with much introspection and confidence. There is absolutely no question of their being impractical. The fact however is that those who have chased material possessions and all such nonsense throughout their lives would rarely admit that they have made complete asses of themselves, wasted their precious lives by just collecting heaps of junk, "stinking trash". Somehow I have taken it upon myself to at least place the ringing alarm clock against the ears of "sleeping" humanity. This world, and all that it encapsulates, has the following attributes: (a) It doesn't remain forever. (b) It changes with time and perspective. The world before our eyes, my dear, is highl
